MICKEY as a solo artist plays classical and jazz fingerstyle guitar. His repertoire varies from Bach to Gershwin and makes for great background music for dinners, press launches and other functions. He also performs regularly at wedding services and even funerals. Last year he featured on BBC Radio’s ‘Your Place And Mine’ in an episode about the canal and towpath where he lives. COLD PORTER is a 5 piece live band featuring Mickey on guitar and is very popular in local bars, clubs and festivals as well as weddings, parties and other special occasions. Their set ranges from jazz standards to more recent pop, funk and rock classics from across the decades and is designed to appeal to all tastes and age groups. Their hectic playing schedule included a week long residency in Sauze D’Oulx (Italy) for the 2006 Winter Olympics. Last year also seen the release of their CD to much acclaim. MICKEY & ELISH are a two-piece outfit that play light background music in lounges and restaurants. Their set is a pleasant blend of jazz standards and popular songs. SUSAN McCANN (www.susanmccann.com) is often referred to as ‘The First Lady of Irish Country’ and Mickey is honoured to regularly join her on tour all over Ireland and the UK. Mickey also plays guitar in a lot of local theatre productions and this year alone has played in productions of High School Musical and The Big River. Previous shows have included Disco Inferno, Back To The ‘80s, West Side Story, Grease, Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound Of Music, Guys & Dolls, Honk, Fame, Aladdin, They Shoot Horses Don’t They? and Bugsy.
