Mickey has taught literally hundreds of students, many of whom are now working professionally in the business and he was recently the subject of a feature in Guitar Techniques magazine (March 2005).

Initially self-taught he passed his Grade 8 in Classical Guitar with Trinity College (London) in 1995 then went to the University of Ulster to study music at degree level and graduated in 1998 with a BMus(Hons).

Mickey teaches guitar at all levels and playing styles (rock, jazz, blues, classical, fingerstyle, country etc).

Mickey prepares students for the RGT/London College of Music grade exams, which are validated by the Thames Valley University and also works as an examiner for the RGT: www.registryofguitartutors.com.

Mickey also prepares students for GCSE, AS and A Level music practical exams and is head of guitar at the following local schools:
